Shaped Bespoke Handmade Curtains for Apex Windows in High Residential Property
In collaboration with an Interior Designer, we completed this High Residential project in Stanmore, Middlesex.
A collection of Silent Gliss Tracks, some manually operated by Hand (6840 for Wave and 1280 for Standard Headings) and some Electrically operated Tracks (5600 System) integrated into the clients Control 4 Home AV System were specified and installed by Shading Specialists along with Roman Blinds and Roller Blinds.
The customer presented a unique challenge with their expansive Triangular Apex Windows, desiring a subtle yet elegant High Residential aesthetic. Although Duette Blinds are commonly employed for Apex Windows, we engaged in a collaborative effort to develop a bespoke curtain specification that would harmonize seamlessly with the distinctive window architecture.
This involved a careful consideration of materials, colours, and design elements to achieve a refined and sophisticated look, ultimately tailored to the customer’s specific taste and the distinctive characteristics of the Triangular Apex Windows.
Utilizing Silent Gliss 1280 Curtain Tracks meticulously installed along every slope of the Apex Glazing, strategically placing stops between each glider to secure the top of the heading in position, we seamlessly incorporated our in-house crafted Double Pinch Pleat Curtains tailored specifically for the unique Triangular Apex Window application.
To enhance the overall aesthetic, bespoke-made tiebacks in matching fabric were meticulously fashioned to hold back these curtains, showcasing a thoughtful attention to detail. The dual-layered design, comprising one Sheer and one Blackout curtain, not only delivers a soft and pleasing visual appeal but also serves a multifunctional purpose. This dynamic combination provides the client with a harmonious blend of light control, blackout capability, and enhanced thermal insulation, ensuring a tailored and functional solution that meets both aesthetic and practical requirements seamlessly.
