The Project
For this project, we were contacted to specify and install an external skylight blind system in a contemporary residential home. Our site surveyor attended the residence to take measurements and liaise with the client to advise on the perfect system for the job.
The project needed a solar protective rooflight blind that filtered harsh UV rays while allowing natural light into the home. With this in mind, we advised the excellent TESS660 system for this project.

TESS660
Specifically engineered by Guthrie Douglas to ensure the reliable and discrete window treatment, featuring exceptional technological design feat.
The Tess660 system can be at any angle or direction and achieve maximum shading results. This exceptional rooflight blind eliminates all light gaps, no matter where the installation takes place.
The SideLock mechanism keeps consistency with the fabric within the system to prevent blowouts. The single-barrel function of the TESS660 system keeps the fabric under tension. This design allows the skylight blind to operate smoothly and quietly with the reassurance the hem bar won’t jam.
Additionally, this luxury rooflight blind comes with obstacle detection, preventing mishaps, and ensuring the longevity of the blind. The TESS660 boasts soft-start and soft-stop functionality and can be programmed to run at varying speeds for user convenience.

Conclusion
This tension blind system comes with numerous benefits, making it the pinnacle window treatment for external applications. It’s an easily adjustable blind that allows for installation within small and restrictive spaces, perfect for areas like skylights and rooflights.
The Tess660 system achieved fantastic results on this gorgeous property. Offering solar protection, without restricting the rooflights fantastic view.
