Here, we look at the beautiful The Westin Hotel. Earlier this year, our specialist installation team provided a comprehensive window treatment service for the luxury hotel chain found along the river Thames. Because of the size of the project, Shading Specialists installed several types of window treatments in over 200 luxurious guest rooms and suites.
Hotel procurement company, Blue Moon, reached out to Shading Specialists to enlist our technical expertise on this large-scale commercial project. We initially conducted a thorough site survey and presented the client with suitable window treatment options that would meet the specifications while being aesthetically pleasing.
These luxury window treatments consisted of installing a mixture of motorised curtain tracks, hand-operated curtains, and electric roller blinds to offer a comprehensive service of luxury window treatments throughout the Westin Hotel.
Our Recommendation For The Westin Hotel
For the electric curtain tracks, we opted for Silent Gliss’ 5600 motorised system due to its versatile application within ceilings, walls and window recesses. We presented the client with the system to ensure the curtains can be hung in different areas within the hotel and operated effortlessly.
Notably, Silent Gliss 4960 roller blinds have quiet and fast motors with soft stopping; this makes for a muted operation to not distract guests of the Westin Hotel when in use. Another motorised system to ease of use, offering a sense of luxury to enhance the guest’s experience.
For the more expansive windows within the hotel, we went with Silent Gliss 4970 motorised roller blinds so they can provide ample shading within greater recess widths for excellent shading continuity within the Westin Hotel.
Lastly, for the manual tracks, we supplied Silent Gliss 6465 hand-operated system with a 2-component (2C) glider technology; this allows for incredibly smooth operation, so the guests can open or draw close to their rooms whenever they wish.
