Creators of World One, a luxury residential skyscraper in Mumbai – India, Lodha was founded nearly four decades ago. From the start, their aim was to become a leader in project development internationally. Nowadays, they are India’s largest real estate developer.
Located in St James’s Square, their Headquarters are only a short walk away from Buckingham Palace. For Lodha, who strive to build for the future with respect to the past, the London scene is the ideal home for some of their latest projects. One astonishing example is Lincoln Square.
The Lincoln Square project, which bears the tag line “Where great minds live”, is a 10-storey new building designed towards people looking for a high-quality residence in one of London’s finest neighbourhoods. The well cultured and erudite will certainly feel at home here, as they were particularly in the minds the designers of these facilities. For instance, a library was built in place of the usual member’s bar. It is also appropriately surrounded by some of the most prestigious universities worldwide, including London School of Economics, the Grade II Royal College of Surgeons and monuments such as the Royal Courts of Justice. This gives the residents a place to find solace in a historical centre without losing touch with the modern and vibrant city.
For this monumental task, Lodha selected the renowned talents of Patricia Urquiola and Bowler James Brindley in charge of interior design, along with PLP Architecture and landscape by Gustafson Porter.
Working alongside Smartcomm, who were in charge of the AV and automation solutions to ensure the smoothest integration, we had the opportunity to the supply and install the window treatments for the apartments in these buildings. The chosen window treatments included sheer and blackout curtains as well as curtain tracks, to strictly align with the exceptional style of the interior design.
We were guided on a short tour that gave us an idea of how this astonishing project would look on the outside and on the inside, as shown in the pictures below.
